You;ve mentioned on a number of occassions that parameters are tweaked until your model produces the desired behavior. Also sometimes you are simply interested in asking "what-if" questions with the simulation.

What do you "tweak" in a GENESIS model to make it "work" or to ask "what-if" questions?

How do you verify that your tweak is really correct, as opposed to a fluke that makes the numbers look right?
