We need to store

• relevant experimental data
• literature references
• modeler's notes
• model descriptions

Model descriptions must be stored in a way that lets one

• explore the model
• verify the model
• modify the model

Simply storing and making available simulation code is not likely to be useful.

• Simulation scripts are complex, and simulator-dependent.

• Reading and understanding someone else's code is difficult and impractical.

• Scripts lack the flexibility needed to visualize the results in many different ways.

Therefore, special tools must be designed.
