The GENESIS user base has now reached the size where an annual meeting would greatly facilitate coordination of the overall project. The structure of this meeting will be based on the first highly successful GENESIS users group meeting held November 2002 in San Antonio (For GUM*02 details, see http://www.genesis-users-meeting.org/). Unlike more general computational neuroscience meetings, such as the annual CNS meeting, we envision a smaller and more focused meeting concerned with technical and scientific aspects of realistic neuronal modeling. The meeting will be scheduled in the Spring each year, so as not to conflict with either the CNS meeting, or the Annual Meeting of the Society for Neuroscience.
