Hypertext GENESIS Reference Manual

This README file and the main index file Manual.html are in the Tutorials/Hyperdoc directory. This version of Manual.html is a copy of the file Manual_external.html, which uses links to sections of the hypertext GENESIS Reference Manual at the GENESIS web site.

You will have faster access to the material if the manual is installed locally. The easiest way to do this is to install this Tutorials package as a subdirectory of the genesis directory. Then it is just a matter of copyinig the genesis/Hyperdoc directory lnto genesis/Tutorials. From the genesis directory, type

    cp -rp Hyperdoc Tutorials/

If GENESIS is not installed, you can download the Hyperdoc.tar.gz file from http://www.genesis-sim.org/GENESIS/ and install it in this directory. In either case, it will overwrite the Manual.html file in this Tutorials/Hyperdoc directory. If you later decide to remove the manual, you can copy Manual_external.html back to Manual.html.

After downloading the Hyperdoc.tar.gz package change to the the place where the Tutorials directory is installed. If you have GENESIS installed, this will probably be something like /usr/local/genesis-2.3/genesis/Tutorials unless you have installed the genesis directory tree elsewhere. Then, give the command

    gunzip -c Hyperdoc.tar.gz | tar xvf -

If Hyperdoc.tar.gz is not in this directory, give the full path to it, e.g.

    gunzip -c ~joeuser/downloads/Hyperdoc.tar.gz | tar xvf -
